School Holiday Workshop
With expert guidance from Resonate Music teachers we learn songs during school term and put them together in a band for a performance on the final workshop day.
During the June/July school holidays our school holiday workshop provides an opportunity for students to combine their instruments and skills together in a band scenario. Interested students will learn selected songs from their music teachers during the school term and then during the school holidays will bring all their instruments and vocals together. With expert guidance from John Prefontaine, Steve Powell, Hannah Johnstone and the teachers at Resonate Music students will rehearse for a performance on the final day for families and friends to come and enjoy.
All students at Resonate Music, Capalaba are invited to participate. Students from outside our studio are welcome however we recommend they be at a sufficient level to be able to comfortably play in a band scenario.
Students will have the opportunity to experience our state-of-the-art facilities to rehearse their selected songs. We will be working on:
- performance
- musicianship
- organisation
- technique
- real world problem solving
- communication between band members.
We will even be doing specialised drum/vocal/guitar performances where time permits.
The workshop will run for 3 hours from Monday to Thursday mornings with a performance on the Saturday. This is an amazing opportunity for students of all ages to collaborate with other like-minded musicians in a real world practise and performance scenario.

We look forward to sharing this awesome opportunity with you all and are excited to see our students flourish in a performance scenario.
